On January 28, 20: 00, Read, you are filmed! - 6th edition filmed in French, Hebrew and Arabic
On Facebook, YouTube and on lanuitdesidees.com celebration of the flow of ideas between countries and cultures, disciplines and generations.
On a common theme "Close", each institute offers an event that feeds 24 hours of live available worldwide via the lanuitdesidees.com site and social networks. It is in this context
that the French Institute of Israel has chosen to present a 25-minute contributory film - “Read, you are filmed!”.
“Read, you are filmed!” is a film produced by the French Institute of Israel in the form of readings filmed in French, Hebrew or Arabic. We will listen to the diversity of languages
singing together the strength of words and voice. Open to all residents of Israel, aged 16 or over, the call for applications launched last November has received more than thirty
contributions, in the form of readings aloud on film. The literary texts (novel or poetry) had to be chosen around the theme of "Close", a common theme of La Nuit des Idées 2021.
Readers chose to film themselves indoors or outdoors.
The entire film, offered in 3 versions - in Hebrew, Arabic and French - thanks to the intervention of literary translators, is punctuated by Oud music and jazz. In total, the viewer will
discover eleven readings selected for their artistic and technical quality. The film “Read, you are filmed!” will be broadcast on the French Institute of Israel's social media - Facebook
and YouTube - on January 28 at 8 p.m. KST.
Initiated by the Institut français Paris, La Nuit des Idées is an annual invitation to discuss the major challenges of the contemporary world, to mobilize young people and promote
intellectual and cultural scenes around the world. It marks the commitment of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture in France in favor of the
circulation of ideas and public debate. In the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Institut français Paris offers an unprecedented digital experience, 24 hours of night and
ideas, with live or exclusive content from all continents. Thanks to the richness and diversity of the cultural network's proposals around the world, this unprecedented event will cross
time zones and make local experiences resonate in a major global digital event broadcast on social networks.
