Haifa has a thriving community of English-speaking young adults
(ages 20 and 30).  A planning committee organizes social events twice
a month to help connect young adults with each other for both social
and professional networking opportunities as well as absorption
assistance.

The 25th Israeli Poetry Festival in Metula, initiated and produced by Confederation House, which takes place every year in Shavuot, is
postponed because Metula opened its doors to refugees fleeing the horrors of war. The festival will take place on September 8-10, 2022 For
the past 25 years, poets, literary scholars and poetry lovers have come to Metula to participate in Israel's most important annual poetry
festival. All the giants of the founding generation of poetry, from Yehuda Amichai to Haim Guri and Tuvia Ribner, took the stage in Metula,
alongside young and dynamic voices in the field of contemporary poetry. Wars, bombings, epidemics - there is nothing that the Metula Poetry
Festival has not faced and finally overcome. Sometimes it was necessary to postpone the date of the festival for a few days or weeks, provided
that they did not give up and continued in the tradition of holding the beloved festival. This year, Metula opened its doors to welcome
immigrants and refugees fleeing the horrors of war in Ukraine. For this reason, the decision has been made to postpone the festival to the
beginning of September, when we will celebrate the 25th year of the festival with great tributes to poets such as Avraham Shlonsky on the
fiftieth anniversary of his death, and with the participation of the best artists of Israel, Metula
